Use cases

However you work,
Clipboardly keeps up.

Everyone copies things all day. Here's how people use boards, Quick Paste and smart types to stop losing what they found.

Everyone

Everything you copy, finally in one place.

Plans, addresses, links from friends and things you meant to come back to, saved and easy to find.

Plan a trip on its own board

Create a Travel board and make it active while you plan. Every hotel link, flight time and address you copy lands there, not mixed in with work.

  • Link previews show you which hotel is which
  • Switch back to your usual board when you're done

Never retype an address or phone number

Clipboardly recognizes addresses, phone numbers, emails and card numbers as you copy them. Tap the Address or Phone tab and they're all there.

Find what you copied last Tuesday

Search every clip by its words, or use the date filter to go straight to the day you saw it. Press ⌘⇧V to search from any app.

Keep private things private

Pause Clipboardly before you copy a password, or lock clips behind a 4-digit PIN so nobody at your desk can scroll through them.

Developers

Your snippets, commands and keys, one shortcut away.

Stop scrolling back through terminal history and old Slack threads for the thing you copied an hour ago.

A board per ticket

Make a board for the ticket you’re on and set it active. Log lines, SQL, PR links and test commands collect in one place, ready for the write-up.

  • Keep a Snippets board for things you reuse every week
  • Pin the commands you run daily

Paste without leaving your editor

Press ⌘⇧V in VS Code, Xcode or Terminal, type a few letters and press Return. The command is pasted right at your cursor.

It recognizes code and keys

Snippets are tagged as Code and tokens as API Key automatically, so you can filter to them in one click and lock the sensitive ones.

Pause before you copy secrets

Moving values between .env files? Hit Pause, copy what you need, then resume. Nothing copied while paused is saved.

Designers

Colors, screenshots and references, filed by client.

Keep every hex code, reference and piece of UI copy where you can find it, without a folder full of "Screenshot 2026-…" files.

Every hex code, saved as a swatch

Copy a color from Figma or a stylesheet and it's saved as a Color clip with a live swatch, so you can see your palette at a glance.

Screenshots, captured for you

Turn on auto-capture and every screenshot you take with ⌘⇧3 or ⌘⇧4 is added to your history, ready to paste into a comment or deck.

A board for each client

Switch the active board when you switch projects. References and feedback for one client never end up in another's pile.

Specs and copy for handoff

Links to files, empty-state text and button labels stay together on the board, ready to paste into tickets and specs.

Content & marketing

Campaign links, copy and research, saved as you go.

Launches mean dozens of links, headlines and contacts flying between tabs. Clipboardly keeps them on one board.

Set your GTM board active for launch week

Every UTM link, headline, press contact and banner you copy goes straight to GTM. When the launch is done, the whole campaign is in one place.

Reuse your best copy

Pin the intros, sign-offs and taglines you use all the time, then drop them into any email or doc with ⌘⇧V.

Research with the source attached

Each clip remembers the app it came from and when, and links come with a preview, so you can find where a quote or stat came from.

Share in a click

Every clip has a share button, so the banner or press contact your teammate is asking for is two clicks away.
